Where did the old blog posts go?

I was forced to completely re-install my web site when my hosting contract ended to take advantage of the pricing that is only offered to new users. The one part of the web site I forgot to back up completely was the Serendipity files that make use of the main SQL blog database. So although I have a copy of the database it turned out to be too much of a hassle to fix the login and password information in order to make use of the old database.

As I had not posted much for a few months I decided that there was probably little point in restoring any of the old posts. If there is anything that anyone wants restored then I am happy to put back individual posts on request.

A change from my previous blog is that I will generally leave the comments section open to moderated comments this time. That is probably the simplest way to communicate with me from now on.
